February Copics workshops

Happy New Year to you all, hope your Chrissy and new year was fabulous, spending time with friends and family!!
Hope Santa was generous and bought some new crafty goodies for you to play with!!

We have the next Copics workshops ready for your diary

Saturday 23rd of February

As we will not be running a beginners class on that day, we will be offering 2 Copics workshops, workshop 1 is a  little easier on the colouring and workshop 2 is a little more of a challenge!
Not to say that working with Copics is a challenge- it is loads of fun-lol!!

 Contact Di to reserve you place, her number is at the bottom of the post!
Please select from workshop 1 or 2, and if you would like any additional packs from the other workshops let Di know and I will make up extras

Workshop 1  Starting at 9.00am to approx 11.30

Colouring a beautiful Penny Black butterfly and another Penny black image, a stemmed flower

Please bring along to the  class  your:

• Paper trimmer
• fussy cutting scissors
• ruler
• scalpel or blade 
• double sided tape
• Foam tape
• Copic Markers (please make sure they are labelled), if you don't have any buddy up with a friend 
• As always your Passion for colouring!

The colours I have used for these projects are:

YG03, YG06, YG09

BV00, BV02, BV13, BV17

Y00, Y02, Y06, Y08, Y35

YR02, YR68, YR07

The colours are only a suggestion, the colours are changeable, you can colour with any combination you wish!

Workshop 2

 Starting at 12.30am to 3pm


A CC Designs image, we will be adding in some pleats or not, the second image is a Penny Black one with some fine detail to colour

Please bring along your:

• distress Inks (if you have any), there will be some to share around the class if you haven't, either wild honey, spiced marmalade, dried marigold

Narelle's Workshop- Friday 8th February

Greetings everyone!  

I am so looking forward to catching up with everyone who has booked into the workshops this coming Friday (February 8th)

To refresh your memory-  I'll be teaching you how to make some really versatile flowers with lots of variations, and we'll add these flowers to a double layout. There is enough paper in your kit for you to be able to create 2 ( that's right TWO!) double layouts, one in shades of green and blue, and the other in shades of yellow and red.  You'll be able to use the layout you complete as your template to whip up the other one at home!  These layouts would be ideal for scrapping some family photos.  

Photos
For each double layout you'll need::-

2 x Portrait photos 5x7"

2 x Portrait photos 6x4"

2 x Landscape photos 3x4"

Tools and Supplies

Please bring along :-

• Paper trimmer and scissors
• double sided tape
• Quick drying strong glue-  helmar 450 is perfect
• Emery board or sand paper to sand edges of photos
• Needle and white thread (for sewing on buttons)
• 2 x 12 x 12 Old cardstock eg the white papers you get inside your Album inserts, or cardstock that has been a bit damaged etc to assemble your layout on.  Alternatively you can purchase 2 sheets of basic cardstock from Di, or if you use CM albums you can assemble the LO on the album page as you go.
• Ink and dauber (I have used Tim Holtz Distress ink in "Old Paper" )

Narelle's 2013 classes

I promise  I'm not trying to freak you out.... but it is time to start planning our class schedules for 2013 so I have prepared the first set of classes using the gorgeous Carta Bella "Traditions" paper.

The classes will run over 2 weeks.

On Friday February 8th (morning and evening classes) I'll be teaching you how to make some really versatile flowers with lots of variations, and we'll add these flowers to a double layout. There is enough paper in your kit for you to be able to create 2 ( that's right TWO!) double layouts, one in shades of green and blue, and the other in shades of yellow and red.  You'll be able to use the layout you complete as your template to whip up the other one at home!  These layouts would be ideal for scrapping some family photos.  

On Friday February 22nd (morning and evening classes) we'll be completing a single layout from the same kit again!  The theme for this one can be whatever you like, but it lends itself towards a more female page with lots of flowers.

If you would like to be part of this class series you'll need to let Di know straight away so she can order the stock!  Remember- dont reply to this blog post or email-  you need to contact Di directly on mobile 0404 266 296 or by emailing her on dismale@bigpond.com.au

When you are booking in, please let Di know if you need her to order for you some Tim Holtz Distress ink in "Old paper" as we'll be using this on all the layouts.

I'll be back in mid January to post a list of what you'll need to bring, and some more sneak peaks, but in the meantime, start planning your photos!

For each double layout you'll need::-

                         We are winding down at Scraphaven ready for Christmas celebrations.
Over the next 2 weeks we are holding our breakup parties so that everyone gets a chance to come along. Just bring a salad, or something sweet for dessert or with a cuppa, we will provide the meat.
