Hi Lovely ladies!

I'm back with some sneak peaks of my new class scheduled for 

Friday May 2nd (10.30am or 7.00pm)

This class uses 4 papers from the Bo Bunny "Pincushion" range, in black and white with pops of green, apricot and orange.  When I was looking at what photos to use I knew the date of the class was going to be close to Mother's Day, so I looked for photos of my daughter and I together, but you could use any photo you like!

I have created two versions of the class (both of them are available for you to see at Scraphaven now).  One has clean lines and the other is quite distressed with lots of dimension.  The  measurements and materials will be the same so you can decide at the class which look you prefer to go with (but you'll need to bring a few extra tools and work quite quickly to get through the distressed version!)

We have already purchased the supplies for this class so places are strictly limited.  You'll need to book your place and pay your deposit now by emailing Dianne-  dismale@bigpond.com.au or calling 0404 266 296 to secure your place in class. Please do not reply to this post.

SCRAPHAVEN MINI RETREAT

9am Friday, 11th April to 9pm Saturday, 12th April

In house at the shop, book your place, organize your projects, leave your stuff at shop and go home to get some rest, ready for another full day of scrapping!

$20 per person per day (includes morning and afternoon teas)

Lunch and Dinner, BYO or book in for meals with me at a reasonable cost ($5 to $10)  per meal

Menu ~ Depending on weather, soup and rolls or chicken, salad & rolls for lunches, Dinner Friday night B.B.Q. or Paella, Saturday night ~ Take away as l have to pop out to a 21st.

Get a group together, gather your friends and get some serious projects finished.

Great time to start Project Life albums as you don't have to pack your stuff up,

There is a class offered on the Friday at 10am or 7pm with Lyn,

"Garage Days" Page with Lyn on 11th April

Hi Scrapping Friends!

This time it's a great range of papers from Kaiser to scrap a page for the man in your life in his element. I know my husband would be lost without his garage so this is one for the guys.
You will need a 7" x 5" portrait photo ( mine is coloured) but , as usual, if you only have a landscrape we will be able to work something out.
I have used Archival Jet Black, Watering Can and Potting Soil stamp pads, Distress Wild Honey and Weathered Wood for sponging.
You will need a black marker pen, sanding block, ds tape, Scrap Dots in a tube, 450 glue, foam tape/foam dots.
Have you ever tried texture paste with stencils? I will be giving a few tips and also a recipe for making your own (so easy!) and cheap.

Narelle's Class- Friday 21st March

Hi lovely ladies

Here's what you'll need for tomorrow's class (10.30am or 7.00pm!)

We will be creating a single layout with a "Happy / Smile" type theme and you'll need a 10cm x 15cm and a 10cm x 7.5cm landscape photo, or you could probably also use a 10x15cm portrait photo. 

Materials-

• Paper trimmer 
• Ruler
• Scissors
• Double sided tape
• Foam tape or pop dots
• Black or charcoal ink 
• Something that will help you pull small alpha stickers off a sheet and stick them down (eg long pin/needle, skewer, tweezers.....whatever you prefer to use)

Sneak Peaks of Narelle's "happy Go Lucky" classes for March 21st & 28th

Hi Lovely Ladies!

I've been busy scrapping this weekend and have put together our classes for March 21st and 28th, using the Fancy Pants "Happy Go Lucky" range!

For March 21st we will be creating a single layout with a "Happy / Smile" type theme and you'll need a 10cm x 15cm and a 10cm x 7.5cm landscape photo, or you could probably also use a 10x15cm portrait photo. 

For the class on March 28th we will be creating a double layout.  I had a request for a class with a layout that has space for lots of photos and this one certainly meets that criteria-  my layout has 18 photos on it, thanks to a lift the flap section! (Which could also be used to hide journalling, invitations, maps.... whatever you like!)  The theme for this one is quite neutral-  I used holiday photos but you could make it photos from a party, a family reunion, a wedding- whatever you have lots of photos of that you want to get on a layout.

For the front of the layout you need:-

2 - 10cm x 15cm Portrait photos

2- 10cm x 15cm Landscape Photos

2- 10cm x 7.5cm Landscape photos.

For the inside flap you have 2 spaces that measure approx 23cm x 26cm that you can use for typed journalling or more photos ( I have lots more photos in mine which you can see at the class on March 21st!)

The layouts will be available for you to see in the shop on Friday, so pop in and have a closer look and start working out what photos you are going to use!  

I'll post a full list of the materials you'll need to bring along next week..

Art of Life page with Lyn 14th March

Hi Scrapping Friends

Art of Life page lends itself to weddings, school formals and other special occasions. We will be fussy cutting so bring along those pointy nose scissors for getting in all the little places around the flowers!

I have used a black and white landscrape 7" x 5" photo but if you only have a portrait style photo I am sure we could make it work.

We will be cutting two frames so you will be cutting out the middle of both pieces. If you are not confident doing this with your paper trimmer then you will need a sharp scalpel and steel ruler

You will need to bring along your usual kit, with foam dots, ruler , pencil etc.

I used Helmar Scrap Dots in the tube for sticking flowers onto the acetate sheet.

If you have the really sticky double sided tape with the red backing that would be good too.

Look forward to seeing you all on the 14th.
