We have just finished Prague for 2days and the Cruise part of our trip. If you haven't tried a River Cruise then put it on your bucket list, it was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good!

What's happening in October at Scraphaven?

As we will be closing in November this year we only have 5 solid weeks of Scrapping left before we celebrate the end of the year at Scraphaven for 2015. So, there will be some weeks where there will be Cards workshops and Layout workshops at the same time on some weeks. 

If there is enough interest for a Saturday Scrap and the Hall is available then let me know and we can have a 2 day Mini Retreat at the shop to catch up on the Christmas making or projects you need done before Christmas.

Here are Last years Shoe boxes, we managed to donate 40 in total.

Wonder if we can better that this year?

Just contact me to reserve a box, start collecting your bits and bobs that will fit easily into the shoebox and close.  

The size of the box is 10 3/4" x 6", 4" depth.

They would like every box to contain some pencils and exercise books, some hygiene items then any other items you think your age group would like to receive.  I found the following items at the Reject Shop - toothbrushes $1, toothbrush holders 2 for $1, 

4 Pamolive natural soaps for $2, soap holder $1, cute little tins of Johnson's baby powder for $1, animal shaped wash
cloths - $2,   bag of marbles $1.50, sparkly rubber balls when bounced $2.50, stickers $1 each, box of Texta's $1.50. At the $2 shop in Sunbury Square they have colouring books just the perfect size to lay flat in the box for $3 .

So, you can see how easy it is to fill a box full of goodies very quickly, the hardest thing is knowing when to stop! Try not to change your mind or think about it too long and the box will be full in no time.

On Friday, 9th November l will have a selection of suitable items from the Church ladies for sale that will fit into the boxes including hand knitted beanies, drawstring bags, pencils in handmade wallet 

with exercise books and assorted balls from 50c each.

Zoo Page Part 3

Hi Ladies,

This week we are continuing with the third part of our series of zoo pages using  Kaisercraft's "Into The Wild Collection."

We will be cutting leaves and a tag with dies and your will need to bring your foam tape. 

I used one 4" x 6" landscape photo on the first page and one 4" x 6" landscape and one 4" x 5" landscape photo on the second page. 

We will have one more class to do in our series.

As this is our last class before Christmas thought it was a good idea to get you set up for the Festive season, here is a Christmas card to get you started!

Our second card it a generic card using stamps from Stampin' Ups Awesomely Artistic Set

Hopefully these little snippets has tickled your fancy and got you inspired to colour!

Pop up Calendars and Post it note sets

10.30am & 7.30pm

$12 plus materials you purchase

This is a great class to make all those small tokens you like to give to groups that you catch up with at Christmas time, suitable for school teachers, swimming teachers, the next door neighbour, Postman or just for fun, to have one for yourself to keep near the phone when you need to know the date and take a note!

Bring along your basic kit but also you can bring your own post-it notes and bits and pieces for decorations. For those who don't have supplies there will be a small selection for sale. The mini calendars are 30c each, they come in white or Kraft. There will be a selection of precut bases for you to purchase. If bringing your own Post-it notes keep in mind what colour you have as you will need 

co-ordinating papers & embellishments to decorate with. I have tried to make this as simple as, so you can hopefully complete your list of gift giving for these little cuties, so make sure you work out how many you need as l will be sending back the excess calendars as they have 2016 on them.  Office works has a wide range of plain coloured sticky notes, some $2 shops have a multi pack of coloured sticky notes as does the Reject Shop and l found some fancy printed ones and Kraft ones from Dasio. Hope this will help you on your way to be prepared this Christmas!

This month we still have some Zoo pages to complete and we will also be using the new "Time Machine" papers, great for Men/boy pages and even can be used for female pages.

Friday, 4th September

This is the first of our "Time Machine" layouts, just ready for Father's Day or a favourite photo of that special guy in your life. Let me know if you would like a full or half pack of this range. We will be using the pack, the collectables and special additional papers. If you do all 4 Workshops it works out cheaper than only doing one of the Layouts.  You will need your basic kit plus black distress ink and vintage photo distress ink.

Next Friday ... We will be making cute little calendars with a post it note as well. These make great gifts when getting together with groups of friends this Christmas, great for Teacher gifts or just make one for yourself and keep it by the phone. They will fit easily into a standard C6 envelope if you need to post a little thought this Christmas.
