A big "THANK YOU" to those who took part in Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child this year. Our Church donated just over 200 boxes on Sunday to the cause of which Scraphaven donated 21 boxes. Sunbury district itself was able to donate just over 1,000 boxes, which is a fabulous result.

So once again l thank you all for you support of such a worthy cause, knowing our boxes will bring joy to someone this Christmas.

Kaiser St. Nicholas Christmas cards with Lyn on Friday 1st. November

Hi Scrapping Friends!

This week, Friday 1st November, we will be using the lovely Kaiser papers called "St Nicholas".
One is a card that resembles a book. You can use lots of different methods to decorate it but the base is so easy and effective. The other two cards use small pieces of paper to very good effect in a sunburst and a chevron pattern. We will be using all the same range but you could make lots more using up scraps or even the small pads of patterned paper for the sunburst one. Both are quite simple but look great. Just what we need for mass producing Christmas cards!
You will need your usual kit but please include:
ruler
foam dots
pencil
black marker pen
glue stick
your stash of pearls if you have any ( I have used Kaiser "Chino" on my cards)

Look forward to seeing you all for a fun day getting those cards finished!

Just to let you know that the Shoe boxes need to be returned this Friday, 25th October 

or to St. Andrew's Uniting church. Sunday, 27th Oct. by 9.15am.

All are welcome to join us for a Dedication Service for the Boxes at 9.30am.

It was great to have such support last year and l am thankful we are able to support this worthy cause once again. For those who have not participated before it is great fun. You simply buy a box from me at 50c each and then go shopping to fill it with some needy surprises for those not as fortunate as our own children. It is a great family activity to do. There is a list with each shoebox of ideas of what to put in and another list of things that cannot go in, due to quarantine regulations.  You simple then choose the age and sex of the child you would like to buy for.  They ask you to reinforce your box once you have put it together and to discard all packaging from items. They recommend to place all items in a drawstring bag or a large plastic zip lock bag so items do not get dislodged during transporting.

Joan has some drawstring bags and a few items for purchase this Friday if anyone needs any.

l have a short video to show you from Samaritans Purse showing the boxes being delivered, really worth a look.

So in advance l thank you all for getting behind this worthy cause, 

how one small box can bring so much joy!

This weeks class 10.30am or 7pm, we have a double page for you to make using the new Lady Rose collection by Kaisercraft. 

You will need two 4" x 6" landscape photos and three 3" x 4" photos,

Your usual scrapping tools, trimmer, scissors, ruler, double sided and foam tape, scalpel and pencil. 

Although I have used Deb photos it would also be perfect for vintage, wedding or girly photos.

It's already that time of year again!

l do not dare say that "C" word!

But l do need to let you know that the Shoe boxes need to be returned on Friday, 25th October.

It was great to have such support last year and l am hoping we will be able to support this worthy cause once again. For those who have not participated before it is great fun. Layout suits so many themes especially if photo is in black and white.
If you would like to ink your edges bring along a soft pink or blue.
Your basic toolkit including trimmer, ruler, pencil, scissors, glues including d.s.tape and foam.
7 White pearls have been used on the layout, these are not included in your kit as most people already have them.  Let me know by Thursday if you would like to join us so Kits can be organized.

So come along and have some time making cards or pages of memories.

We have mums & kids, grandparents & kids and 

some of my students from the Kid's classes are coming along for an extra session as well.

Jacquie has fallen in love with these new punches and they are great to watch and see how they work.  You will need a 5" x 7" Landscape photo, your basic tool kit but don't forget your fussy cutting scissors!  Jacquie used a photo of us at St. Mary's High Tea so will suit a range of themes. Session times are 10.30am or 7pm. Cost is $20.

October Copics Workshop.

An update on the upcoming Copics workshops a sneak peek of the cards we will be making and a list of the colours I have used!

Saturday the 12th October, 

Two classes- 9am and 12.30pm

A retake of the star Luka card, using Kaisercraft Take Note Collection.  Paper piecing on some of the image too- less colouring-lol!!

The 2nd card is using SU's Pleasant Poppies set, a gorgeous image to colour.

Depending on the availability of the papers, the backing paper could be a different colours, but will still co-ordinate with the blue in the poppies.

The colours I have used in both projects are:

E000, E00, E11, E21, E33, E40, E41, E43

R02

YR20, YR31

Y21, Y35, Y38

YG63, YG67, YG91, 

BG93

B23, B32, B45,B60, B93

If you are wanting to purchase any of the colours, drop Di an email (at least 2 weeks before the class) and she can place the order to avoid disappointment on the 12th.

Remember the colour choice is totally up to you, mine is only a suggestion! 

Please bring along to the class,  your:

• Paper trimmer
• fussy cutting scissors
• ruler
• scalpel or blade 
• double sided tape
• Foam tape
• Copic Markers - if you have some, (please make sure they are labelled)
• As always your Passion for colouring!

As always the colours are changeable, you can colour with any combination you wish!

Hello Scrapping Friends!

On Friday we will be learning how to use FABRIC on our pages! I know that sometimes I see some fabric that I would just love to use on a page but wasn't sure how to include it. So now we have the answer as well as using some of the great papers from this range. I have used a black and white 7" x 5" landscape photo of my Mum as a teenager but the colours lend themselves to lots of different uses.
As well as your photo you will need
1. usual kit of trimmer, fussy cutting scissors, ds tape, foam dots, ruler, pencil, distressing tool etc.
2. sponges for inking edges
3. black marker pen
4. Helmar Scrap Dots in tube if you have some
5. Brown pearls
We will also be using Distress Inks... Evergreen Bough and Rusty Hinge, Stampin Up top note die and bird builder punch, Versafine Onyx black. These ink pads will be available for use on the day so don't worry if you don't have them.

Kaisercraft's Basecoat Class 6th September, 2013

Hi Ladies,
This week we have a Masculine page for you using Kaisercraft's Basecoat.
We will be using some Spellbinders and Tim Holtz dies as well as punches.
You will need to bring a 4" x 6" landscape photo, your usual scrapping tools such as a trimmer,
Scissors, doubled sided and foam tape, Helmar 450 glue, ruler and black journaling pen.
Can you also bring your Stampin up Antique buttons with you if you have them?
