First up, we will be trying out some new techniques!!
Expect to got home decorated with a little a little glitter, a little messy but well worth giving it a whirl!

Hi Ladies,

This week we have a boy and girl page for you to do using some of the Confetti range plus a couple of extras.  We will be using the big shot machine to cut our paper and Hessian. We are also stamping our own tags.

I have used a 6" x 4" portrait photo on the page.

You will need to bring along your usual tools: trimmer, scissors, double sided tape, foam tape, ruler,

pencil and a string glue such as Helmar 450.

Hi everyone,

This Friday is Valentine's day so we are celebrating the ones you love.

I have designed a page using some lovely My Minds Eye papers. 

You will need to bring a 4"x3" landscape photo, your usual tools, trimmer, scissors, double sided 

tape and foam tape, ruler and pencil and a strong glue such as Helmar 450.

Hi everyone

I'm looking forward to catching up with everyone on Friday, hearing how your Christmas and New Year was, and seeing your Christmas photos as we complete our layouts in our first class for 2014!

Here's what you need to bring along for the class-  

• 1 Photo-  I used a 5x7" portrait  photo
• Paper trimmer

• Small paint brush
• Brown ink (I used Tim Holtz "Brushed Corduroy")
• Red and Green Adhesive pearls, or we'll have some available for purchase. (we haven't included these in your kit as you don't need a whole packet and many of you already have them at home!)

Thank you and farewell ...

It was lovely to see some Scraphaven faces today at Ron's memorial service.

Thank you to those who were able to attend and to everyone who sent along messages of condolence to myself and Ron's family. Messages have been forwarded to the family.  The service was a fine tribute to a truly lovely gentleman.  He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Saying Good-bye to a dear friend ...

The service of Thanksgiving for Ron's life will be held this Thursday, 9th January, 1.30pm

at St. Andrew's Uniting Church, Sunbury.

Ron served the Church, the community and all who knew him with compassion and love.

He was one of God's true gentlemen, always making time for others right through to the end.

I was privileged to meet with him for the last time on Friday, 27th December where we shared hugs, laughter and all the current news to date and left with messages from him to pass on to friends including all those from Scraphaven, which became his regular Friday morning cuppa and catch up.

His presence will always be with us.

Tribute to a lovely man ...

It is with great sadness that l inform everyone from Scraphaven that peacefully on Thursday morning, 

my dear friend Ron passed away at Ocean Grove at his daughter's home.  Ron loved coming along every Friday to make a cuppa for everyone and will be fondly missed by all. A service of Thanksgiving for his Life will be held at St. Andrew's Uniting Church later next week, most likely Friday.

My condolences go to all his family.

Rest in peace now Ron.

Hi ladies we are approaching our final class for the year. A big thank you to everyone who has joined in my classes this year. 

This week you will need to bring with you a 4x6 portrait or landscape photo. We will be doing lots of layering of paper so you will need your trimmer, a ruler, grey lead pencil, double sided tape or glue stick and glue pen, Helmar 450 glue to attach the flower to your page.

Last Day for 2013!

This Friday, 20th December is our last day for 2013.

To celebrate and to say thank you for your support during the year we have a break up lunch and dinner.  I will supply the meat for both, lunch will be roast chicken and dinner a B.B.Q.  If you would like to attend all you need to do is contact me and let me know if you are bringing a salad or dessert.

I have a few vacancies for the morning and staying on for lunch but sadly the 

Evening is already booked out.

Sneak Peaks of Narelle's 2014 classes!

Hi everyone

Here's some sneak peaks of my Term 1 classes  for 2014!

On February 7th (10.30am and 7.00pm) we'll be doing a Christmas class!  I've already created this class for you so you know what sort of photo you need to get your family to pose for this festive season!  You'll a 5x7 Portrait photo- so make sure you get the family gathered around the tree this Christmas!  The layout uses traditional Christmas colours and the word "joy" and the date.

This layout is now on display at Scraphaven so you can pop in and have a look and book your spot now (there is a very strictly limited number of kits for this and stock absolutely can not be reordered so we will need to ask you to pay your deposit to secure your spot in this class.  As I write this post there are only 10 kits left!!!).  With the limited number of kits available-  this will be an "in-store" only class.

My other set of classes for Term One are going to use the Fancy Pants Happy Go Lucky Range.  This will be a Kit Class where we'll be working with the kit that has been put together by Fancy Pants to create a couple of layouts over  two weeks on March 21st and March 28th ) 10.30am and 7.00pm.  We have pre-ordered some kits but cant be sure that we'll be able to get more, so to guarantee your spot in the class please see Di and pay your deposit for the class.

What you'll need for Narelle's class this Friday

Hi everyone

Here's some very generous sneak peak images of the double layout we'll be completing this week.

For the photos you'll need:-

• One 5x7 Landscape
• Three 6x 4 Landscapes or a combination of 3x4 portrait images (as an example in the girl layout above I have used four portrait images and one landscape, and in the boy layout below I have used 3 6x4 landscapes)
• Please note in the images that the right hand side of the 5x7 photo has paper overlapping it, as does about one quarter of one of the 6x4 landscape photos.
• For this class its definitely going to be best to bring your photos along on the day.  Adding them later is going to be much trickier.

You'll also need to bring:-

• Your MME Kit and enamel dots from last week's class
• Paper trimmer 
• Ruler
• Scissors
• Double sided tape
• Black, Dark Grey or Charcoal Ink

• 1 Photo-  I used a 5x7" photo that has been trimmed to 12cm x 13cm .

• Foam tape  or foam dots 
• Black, Dark Grey or Charcoal Ink
• Cereal Box or Pizza Box cardboard (that can be used in between paper layers to add dimension if desired.)
